The installation aims to give visitors an insight into some of the 23,000 CWGC sites around the world with the 330 headstones representing more than 30,000 Welsh men and women who gave their lives during the First World War. Each headstone at the replica Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery signifies 100 Welsh war casualties and features an inscription and badge to show the various regiments and divisions of soldiers who did not return home.
