Nikon's new 105mm 1.4 lens - portrait and event photography

As promised, here are a few more pictures with Nikon's latest 105mm 1.4 portrait lens. The lens is ideal for business headshots and portrait pictures due to its large aperture which helps produce a very shallow depth of field - allowing for very blurred and out of focus backgrounds.

I've used it mostly for portraits over the last week but also for a few events and award ceremonies - including a visit by the Earl of Wessex at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, South Wales.
